What color should i do my room in?

i have a small-ish room . i want it to look bigger so people suggested using bright,light colors.also,most of my furniture (door frames etc included) should be white,they said.what do you think.suggestions re welcomed :) i also watched a lot of room tours on youtube and i want my room to be very fun and colourful (pps.their furniture is also white,mostly)
