Hey guys, a give your own opinion question :)?

i just play around with them until theyre 3. no training. just leading, tying them up, grooming, picking up feet, desensitizing and all that jazz. at the most teach them walk and trot voice commands on the lead. i let them be babies while theyre babies. then at 3 i start lunging, teaching voice commands, introducing tack, developing the mouth, at 4 begin backing. no matter the breed the horse isnt mature enough to be ridden until 4. if youre interested in breaking in horses you should read this article, a href="http://www.equinestudies.org/ranger_2008/ranger_piece_2008_pdf1.pdf" rel="nofollow"http://www.equinestudies.org/ranger_2008…/a it is fact based on how a horses body develops. its very enlightening. there are many different ways to start a horse, and i treat each horse as an individual so i dont have a set method of breaking in horses. i go by what works best for me and the individual horse to achieve the goals at hand.
