Preparing a Powerpoint slide presentation?

I just completed a Powerpoint slide presentation in Microsoft 2010. I added my music where necessary and saved it as a PPS. Then I went into the Roxio Home Video Creator and burned the slideshow onto a DVD CD not CD R (because that didn't work). When I finished burning the video, it played back beautifully on my computer but not on a regular DVD Player. I also tried viewing the DVD on another computer. The slide show was perfect but no music sound. Can anyone help? I also saved it as "Send and Save" and create video but nothing happens.
